Sitting Pretty

For about a week now Caleigh has been sitting up un-assisted. She generally likes this new skill, except for when a toy is just out of reach. Then she performs what can only be described as a yoga move (a deep butterfly stretch) to get it. Ahhh, to be that flexible!

Here Comes the Sun

We finally got some sun and warmth this past weekend. The family reveled in it! We played outside, did yardwork, bbq'd and ate outside on the patio - it was wonderful. Just the right mix to keep us going through the rain expected next week.

Spring?

The kids are like monkeys, bouncing off the walls of their "cage" as this cold snap drones on. Abby asks a few times an hour if she can go outside to play on her swingset or water plants or take a walk. Today we indulged her and Caleigh - though they look ready for a snowstorm with all those layers (and they need to be! It hailed buckets the day before).

Who's Who??

I put these pictures up side by side in my office - its hard to tell who is who!

Caleigh is 6 months old!

Caleigh is a big 6 month old! She started cereal and veggies - not a big eater (she must be watching her big sister). Lots of babbling, rolling over, and pushing up on her forearms. We have two teeth on the bottom that we can see, but just haven't broken through - poor girl. She is now 16 lbs and 26.5". Such a mellow, happy little girl.

Bowling League

To survive another one of those miserably cold and wet Oregon spring days, we took an adventure to the bowling alley. The kids "bumper bowled" all morning and had a blast - I think Abby did better than I have ever done (the bumpers help!)... we wrapped up the fun with pizza at schmizza - good fun!

Tulips

On one of those rare beautiful spring days in Oregon, we headed out to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm in Woodburn. The weather was crisp, but the tulips were beautiful and the day might just hold us over for a little while through the rain and stormy weather.

Dancing Queen

Abby started ballet class in January and at the end of March she had her first "recital" for the parents. Her teacher is great and is really teaching the girls classical ballet moves. Abby loves the class and is signed up for another term.

I can't help myself - I love snapping pictures of Caleigh - she has reached that smiley cutie bug stage - lots of babbling (all "da da da") - here are a few of my favorite shots from the past month.

Easter Dresses

Our Mimi sent the girls these beautiful dresses that we thought were perfect for Easter. We had a brunch and egg hunt at our good friend Julie and Jeff's house and all of Abby's friends were there. The Easter bunny left Abby clues around the house that lead her to her Easter basket and goodies - too bad that Riley dog ate all the treats while we were out of the house at Julie's brunch - bad dog!
