It's Good to be 3 (or at least play like you are!)

We finally got some nice scorching weather here in Portland - time to break out the sprinkler! Abby and her daddy had a blast running through the princess sprinklers. Caleigh and mommy even got into the fun. Ah, to be 3 again!

Caleigh is 8 months old!

Caleigh is 8 months old today - she is just more of a joy everyday. She has two bottom teeth and is rocking about like she might crawl any minute.

Fancy Nancy

Abby got her first Fancy Nancy book - all about being fancy. Abby loves "being fancy" - including princess dress up, playing hair salon (we had an unfortunate lotion incident), putting on sparkly lip gloss, and making tooters...

WAIT - tooters?!? I had to correct my budding diva and make it very clear that tooters were neither fancy nor polite, to which she responded (while dancing around) "I love my beautiful tooters!" I guess Dean doesn't have to buy that shotgun afterall, because last I checked most boys aren't too fond of a girls' tooters - no matter how beautiful they are!

Fairy Festival

Today we visited the Alpenrose Dairy annual Fairy Festival. The clouds of silk and swirls of poofy dresses were everywhere. The girls made fairy tiaras with fresh flowers, sparkly magic wands, fairy wings, fairy lanterns, and even made wishes at the wishing well. Despite the clouds, and impending rain, we had a wonderful frilly, fancy time!
